Notice of Job - Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative:  Algona Municipal Utilities is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Customer Service Representative.  This position will work with customers in person or over the phone to handle routine customer inquiries relative to utility and communications billing and customer service. In addition, this position performs a variety of clerical duties utilizing knowledge of general office systems and procedures and assists with other duties as needed.  Applicant must reside in the Algona Municipal Utilities service territory or other location as approved by the Board of Trustees. A candidate should possess an associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school or have 2 – 3 years of equivalent experience. If you have an eye for photography, then Algona Municipal Utilities is giving you an opportunity to submit a photo taken within Kossuth County for the possibility of having the photo showcase our 2019-2020 phonebook cover next spring.

From now until October 31, 2018, you may mail or drop off your photos at our office in downtown Algona or email us a file of your photo for a chance to be on the cover of the AMU Phonebook for 2019-2020.

This message was sent automatically by a program on Webmail which
periodically checks the size of inboxes, where new messages are
received. The program is run weekly to ensure no one's inbox grows
too large. If your inbox becomes too large, you will be unable to
receive new email. Just before this message was sent, you had 18
Megabytes (MB) or more of messages stored in your inbox on your
Webmail To help us re-set your SPACE on our database prior to

The first steps have been taken to extend the life of the Iowa Distributed Wind Generation Project (IDWGP) southeast of Algona. At its October 27th meeting, the Algona Municipal Utilities Board of Trustees approved a Letter of Intent to enter into a Purchased Power Agreement (PPA) with Jon Kulp of Pocahontas, Iowa.
