Customers of Algona Municipal Utilities receive a magazine twice each year that will provides them with natural resource saving ideas. Eco@Home (Eco at Home) is designed to give readers ideas on how to consume gas, electricity and water more efficiently, saving dollars and our planet.

“Algona Municipal Utilities is committed to helping our consumer owners use our natural resources wisely, including electricity and water,” said John Bilsten, General Manager of AMU. “The Eco@Home (Eco at Home) publication will provide valuable information that will inspire and motivate the entire family to take action with ideas that are often low cost, or no cost,” said Bilsten.

In addition to tips on conserving electricity, water, and gas, Eco@Home (Eco at Home) will have a number of features on recycling, green products for the home, and buying local. The publication will include action-oriented ecological topics of interest to homeowners and renters. Each issue of the magazine will be printed on paper manufactured from partially or totally recycled material.
