The new AMU Communications Utility has been designed to bring state of the art communications technology to Algona.  The completion of the communications system will provide Algona citizens and businesses with an on-ramp to the communications superhighway.  All of these services will be offered through just one wire to your home from your locally owned and controlled municipal utility – Algona Municipal Utilities.

·       Nearly 158 route miles of construction

 

·       Construction started on Monday, September 18, 2000

 

·       Construction is scheduled to be completed by the Fall of 2002
